Riley Grogan, 69, of Jonesboro passed away Tuesday November 11, 2008 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
He was born in Carthage, Mississippi and had lived in Jonesboro since1983, moving here from West Memphis, Arkansas. He was a retired Engineer for Continental System and of the Baptist belief.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Lela White Grogan, one brother Ray Grogan and one sister Shirley Grogan.
He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Ruth Grogan of the home.
Two sons, Riley Allen Grogan of Wynne and Michael J. Grogan of Morton, Mississippi.
One daughter, Julie Gatling of Jonesboro.
Three brothers, David and Johnny Grogan of Morton, Mississippi and Woodrow Grogan of Houston, Texas.
Nine sisters, Doris Nelson and Pat Crabtree both of Jonesboro, Dorothy Grogan of Hardy, JoAnn Callahan of Mississippi, Carolyn Gouveia of Ontario, California, Ellie Damm and Tammy Grogan both of Paragould, Cathy Guy and Joyce Grogan both of Morton.
Seven grandchildren, Riley C.W. Grogan, George Thompson, Brianna Honeycutt, Dara Honeycutt, Jamie Grogan Houghton, Cassie and Hope Grogan.
Two great grandchildren, Noah and Malachi Houghton.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday November 13, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ernest Coleman officiating. Burial will be at Lorado Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday November 12, 2008 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Williams, Mitchell Williams, Jason Williams, Jerry Allen DuVall, Don DuVall and Robert Mallott
Honorary pallbearers will be Carly Grogan, George Thompson, Braden Gatling and Boyd DuVall.
