Rider Simpson

Rider Simpson, 21, of Jonesboro died Saturday morning at his home. Rider was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was a Nettleton High School graduate and had attended ASU for a time. Rider played basketball during his high school days and was an avid golfer and hunter. He worked as a groundskeeper for Sage Meadows Country Club.

Rider is survived by his parents, Ray & Linda Simpson and his brother Ryan Simpson, all of Jonesboro. He leaves several aunts and uncles, Doin & Lisa Bowers, Corning, Bernard Simpson, Vilonia, J.E. Simpson, Hot Springs Village, and Marie Parker, North Myrtle Beach.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jerry Jolly officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jerrod Hollis, Jon-David Hurst, Chris Goodman, Phillip Hout, Jonny Carter, and Cody Fry. Honorary pallbearers will be the Nettleton High School Class of 2003.

Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
