Ricky Don Whittingham, 65, of Bono, died Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He lived most of his life in the Bono area. Ricky was born on March 7, 1959, in Jonesboro, to Herbert and Louise Whittingham. He worked as a Sears repairman for over 33 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed time with family and friends at Lake Norfork. If the Razorbacks were playing, it was a good guess that Ricky was watching. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Rob Douglas and a Niece, Whitney Rogers.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Pamela Springle Whittingham, of the home; son, Kevin Whittingham and wife Ashley of Jonesboro; daughter, Kayla Patterson and husband, Cody of Bono; brother, Jeffrey Whittingham and wife, Rachel of Greenbriar, Arkansas; David Whittingham and wife Diane of Bono; sisters, Jo Ann Douglas; Debra Lewis and husband, Perry all of Jonesboro; and five grandchildren, Remi, Jace, Barrett, Bria, and Liam.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 28, 2024, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Gary Cremeens officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery with Rick McDaniel, Anthony Ivy, Lanny Shirley, Larry Bice, Jeff Caffrey, Kenny Broadaway and Ronnie Pilgrim serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Tolewitzke, Doug Smith, St. Bernard’s Hospice; and nursing staff on third flood at St. Bernards. The visitation will be from 5-7 Thursday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
