Ricky Warren Strickland, 64, of Trumann, passed from this life on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
Born in Jonesboro, Ricky grew up in Bay and lived most of his life in the Bay area before moving to Trumann two years ago. He was a 1977 graduate of Bay High School and graduated from Delta Vo-Tech in Marked Tree. He had a 34-year career with Kenney Manufacturing in Jonesboro, retiring as a manufacturing lead man.
Ricky enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, dominoes and searching for arrowheads. But the biggest thrill he had was spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and extended family nephews and great nephews. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Eva Jane Darr Strickland.
Survivors include his significant lady, Cheryl Pagan of the home;
a daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Justin Mothershed of Lake City;
2 sons and daughter-in-law: Brian Strickland of Bay, and Kyle and Jessica Strickland of Bono;
2 sisters and brother-in-law: Sherry McGough, and Beverly and Larry Norwood, all of Bay;
5 grandchildren: Skylar Strickland, Lexi Smallman, Maddie Leach, Teagen Strickland and Zane Strickland;
3 great grandchildren: Kenzie Pankey, Bridger Pankey and Jonathon Pankey;
Cheryl's son, Dakota Pagan of Trumann; and
3 great nephews: Paxton Garrett, Isaiah McLeod and Wiley McLeod.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private. A visitation will precede the funeral service from 9:30-10:30.
Honorary pallbearers include Danny Brown, Bobby Coker, Jerry Riley, Rick Ferguson, Kevin Simpkins, Jimmy Griffin, Larry Norwood, Jerry Brown, Matt Moore, Justin Norwood and David McGough.
