Ricky Neal Johansen, 42, of Heber Springs, formerly of Trumann, died Sunday at his home of natural causes.
Born in Michigan City, Indiana, Ricky lived much of his life in the Trumann-Jonesboro area. He worked several years in the concrete and construction industry and attended First Assembly of God in Jonesboro.
Ricky was a U.S. Army veteran and a 1985 graduate of Trumann High School. He attended Arkansas State University and loved boating and flying hobby airplanes. He was an avid musician, playing the piano, saxophone and guitar.
Survivors include his mother, Diane Hamric Johansen of Trumann;
His father, Paul Johansen of Jonesboro;
1 son, Aaron Neal Moss of Memphis;
1 brother, Steven Johansen of Trumann; and
His paternal grandmother, Jill Johansen of St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in First Assembly of God Church in Jonesboro with Pastor Matt Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers include: Randy Roberts, Mark Walker, Jackie McHalffey, J.C. Kirkland, Jim Canada and Rueben McClelland.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
