Rick Elwood Tubbs, 66, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born on January 2, 1952 to James and Maurine Tubbs in Harrisburg. Rick is a graduate of Marked Tree High School and attended Arkansas State University. He served on the Nettleton School board for 18 years and managed JT White for 35 years. Rick had many passions in life from hunting and fishing to working. However his family was his main passion, especially his grandchildren. Rick is preceded in death by his parents, James and Maurine Tubbs.

Rick is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ginny Tubbs of Jonesboro; son, Brandon Tubbs of Jonesboro; daughter, Lindsey Wilcox (Todd) of Jonesboro; sister, Marsha Mitchell of Truman; and grandchildren, Heath Wilcox and Seth Wilcox.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home with Casey Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Kenny Findley, Tony McDonald, Gary Woods, Malcolm Culpepper, Buddy Hosman, Barry Phillips, Heath Wilcox and Seth Wilcox. The honorary pallbearers will be Todd Isbell, Bill Petry, Dicky East, Brandon Murphy, and the employees of JT White.

The visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank care givers, Kim Bass and Lori Loggins; Dr. Clinton Edwards and special nurses; Brandy Crump, Jennifer Rawls, Andi Cooper, and       Rebecca McGlinty for the care they provided for Rick.
