Rick Summers, 65 of Jonesboro moved from his earthly home to the streets of gold on December 31, 2017.  Rick was born June 21, 1952 to Fred and Helen Summers of Harrisburg.  He worked for Hytrol Conveyor Company Inc. for 32 years retiring in 2009.  Rick loved his wife and family but more importantly he loved God and shared his faith with anyone willing to hear and even sometimes those that weren’t.  He is preceded in death by his daddy and momma, his father in law and mother in law, Eugene and Joann Russell, a nephew he loved like a brother, Jimmy Summers.

Survivors include his wife/best friend of 46 years, Deborah Summers of the home; two daughters, Catrina (Kristian) Nuckles of Monette; Angie (Steve) Wilkerson of Brookland; five grandsons, Cody Mitchell, Mason Nuckles, Gavin Wilkerson, Keegan Nuckles; Cole Nuckles; two granddaughters, Kaylee Nuckles and Layla Wilkerson; three brothers, Don (Eva) Summers of Indiana; Jim (Joann) Summers of Missouri; John Summers of Florida; sisters, Edna Jo Brown of Trumann; Donna Kay (Bubba) Grimmer and Mary Lee Johnson of Jonesboro; along with so many friends that will miss him and his uplifting words of encouragement and prayers.  Including one of his favorite quotes, “you better be packed up!”

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Chad Gonzales and Junior Cliff officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Burial will follow at Monette Cemetery with Cody Mitchell, Marty Russell, Tim Russell, Lloyd Russell, Doug Jones, and Rick Carter serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Mason Nuckles, Gavin Wilkerson, Keegan Nuckles, Kaylee Nuckles, Layla Wilkerson, Cole Nuckles, Kristian Nuckles and Steve Wilkerson.  Visitation will be from 5-7 Tuesday evening at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
