Rick Gartman

Ricky "Rick" Allen Gartman, age 60, of Jonesboro, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
Born in Trumann, Rick lived all of his life in the Jonesboro area. He was a 1976 graduate of Nettleton High School and worked as an Auto Body Shop Man.
Rick thoroughly enjoyed working on and rebuilding muscle cars. He often drove his red 1968 Chevrolet Camaro on the Hot Rod Power Tours. He also enjoyed scuba diving, water skiing and lake activities. He liked driving his Suzuki and Gold Wing motorcycles, crappie fishing, snow skiing and archery deer hunting. Rick was preceded in death by his dad, Melvin Gartman.
Survivors include his mother, Leila Gartman of the home;
2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara and Vernon "Buster" Neal of Jonesboro, and
Jennifer and Darren Lipford of Hutchinson, Kansas;
2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Ron and Suzanne Gartman, and
Tim and Brenda Gartman, all of Jonesboro;
10 nephews and nieces:
Taylor and Mason Lipford, Ross, Lance and Bart Gartman, Lori Ivey, John and Robert (Bob) Neal, Gabriel Gartman and Sandi Burrows; and
13 great nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be 5-6 p.m Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the Community of Christ Church, 919 E. Highland Drive in Jonesboro. A memorial service with Butch Cooper and Danny Gartman officiating will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the church. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the memorial service for refreshments and fellowship. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
