Richard "Dick" James Forkel

Richard “Dick” James Forkel, 88, of Jonesboro formerly of Orange, California, departed this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at his residence. He was born June 8, 1934 in Michigan to the late Edward and Dorothy Forkel.

Dick was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving time during the Cold War. He worked at RCA (Radio Corporation of America). He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in California. Also member of the Scottish Terrier Club of America, Scottish Terrier Club of Californis and Great Western Terrier Association. Dick enjoyed raising and caring for their Scottish Terriers. He loved to spend time with his family and friends whenever he was able too.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Laura Forkel.

Dick is survived by; his wife of 24 years, Jacki Forkel of the home; two sons, Gary Forkel (Lynne) of Southern California, Brian Forkel (Sara) of Southern California; two sisters, Sherry Arbuckle (Dick) of Eugene, Oregon, Patty Strautman of Eugene, Oregon; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a lifetime of friends.
