Richard Dedman

Richard Dedman was born July 11, 1971 to Jim and Diane Mayer Dedman. He passed away at St Bernard’s Hospital on July 5, 2020 at the age of 48. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Elsie and Rudy Dedman, and Leonard and Martha Mayer.

Richard spent most of his life here in Northeast Arkansas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bay. Family was a top priority for Richard. He never missed his kid’s basketball games and, later, loved spending time with his grand babies. Richard even worked in the family business at Dedman Sanitation. Richard loved watching sports and rooting for his favorite teams, the Razorbacks and the Cowboys. When he wasn’t spending time with his family or watching sports, you could always find him fixing up the different project cars he bought.

Richard is survived by his wife, Tina Dedman of Bay; son, William Dedman of Bay; daughter, Trisha Dedman of Bay; stepsons, Chance Eddings of Paragould and Hunter Eddings (Ryan) of Jonesboro; stepdaughter, Ashley Putt (Ken) of Como, MS; parents, Jim and Diane Dedman of Bay; brother, Michael Dedman of Ridgeview IL; sister, Jennifer Dedman of Bay; grandchildren Darren Toney, Landon McCord, Jayda Eddings, Nevaeh White, Paisleigh Eddings, and Gabriella Eddings; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Bay First Baptist Church with Danny Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Bay First Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials can be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church at 200 Central Ave, Bay, AR 72411 . Due to COVID 19 guidelines, facemask must be worn while at the visitation and funeral.
