Richard Allen “Pops” Christy, 75, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born September 23, 1947 to the late Albert and Maureen Christy.

Originally born in California, Richard has lived in Jonesboro for the past 15 years. He worked on the riverboats for 25 years and was also a very talented upholsterer. Richard served our great country in the Army during the Vietnam war.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Christy.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Christy Pierce (Jason) of Jonesboro; sister, Ann McMahan of Las Vegas, Nevada; granddaughter, Lisa Hall of Walnut Ridge; grandson, Shane Basham of Walnut Ridge and great-grandchildren Braydon, Rylee, Maci and Ethan.

A visitation will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 from 1-2 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

A memorial service with military honors will immediately follow the visitation at 2 pm with Bryce King officiating.
