Rhonda Tosh Cline

Rhonda Karen Cline, 63, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Jonesboro, Rhonda lived almost all of her life in Jonesboro. She was a 1973 graduate of Nettleton High School and attended Arkansas State University. She worked 45 years--1974 - 2019-- at Southwestern Bell Telephone and AT&T. She served many years as the Area Manager for External and Legislative Affairs for AT&T.

During her career at AT&T, Rhonda was awarded the Arkansas FBLA Businessperson of the Year Award, was a life member of AT&T Pioneers-a Volunteer network. Upon retirement the Arkansas House of Representatives presented to Rhonda a citation for her 45 year career hallmarked by professionalism and excellence.

Rhonda has been active not only in Jonesboro but in the entire Northeast Arkansas community. She has been a member of the Rotary Club of Jonesboro for more than 20 years and been recognized five times as a Paul Harris Fellow. She was very involved in Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA), serving as chair on three different occasions. As a longtime member of the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, Rhonda served two terms on the Board of Directors and was a member of the Jonesboro Chamber Government Relations Committee, serving as chair three separate terms. For the past three years, Rhonda has served as board member of the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest Tosh and Elfreeda Holloway Tosh; brother, Lynn Tosh and father-in-law, Melvin Cline.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Brent Cline, of the home, married April 19, 1974;
1 daughter, Courtney Cline (Drew Ledbetter) of Fayetteville;
2 brothers: Gary (Pavada) Tosh and Mike (Kathy) Tosh, all of Jonesboro;
2 sisters: Sherri Roberts (Bill Bridger) and Staci (Calvin) Sparrow, all of Jonesboro;
brother-in-law Todd (Patti) Cline of Vilonia;
sister-in-law: Teresa (John) Angle of Jonesboro;
mother-in-law: Norma Jean Cline of Jonesboro;
9 nieces, 3 nephews and 20 great nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday in Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include the Tommy Morgan, Brian Morgan, Joe Kirby, David Thorne, Allen Crawford and Bobby Burrow. Honorary pallbearers include the Wallace Fowler family, Harold Perrin, Eddie Drilling, Ronald Dedman, AT&T External and Legislative Affairs Team, Doug Forman, Rick Carter and Friday Joe Garrison.
