Rex J. Steele

Rex J. Steele, 79, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had lived in Jonesboro for over 50 years and was a tax prepared for H & R Block and started the Jonesboro office, where he worked for over 30 years. He was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Katherine Steele and a brother, Maylon Steele.

Survivors include his son, Mark Steele (Michelle) of Jonesboro; sister, Norma Ledbetter, (James) of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandchildren, April Haley Steele, Anthony Steele, Jordan Steele and Jacob Steele and one great grandchild, Eli Cash Steele.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 18, 2016 at the 7th Day Adventist Church with Abraham Valasquez officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time at the church.
