Rev. Michael H. Winberry

Rev. Michael H. Winberry, 61, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at Lawrence Memorial in Walnut Ridge.

Michael was born on Jan. 25, 1950, in Piggott, and he was a Methodist minister. He was on the Camp Board for the Waylon Spring Camp.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlis Winberry, and a daughter, Leslie Winberry.

Survivors include a wife, Julie Winberry of the home; four sons, Rick and wife Stephanie Gardner of Bono, Landon Winberry of Bay, Josh and wife Tara Nelson of Jonesboro, and Billy and wife Leah of Walnut Ridge; a daughter Erica and husband Josh of Paragould; father Howard and step-mother, Bonnie Winberry of Malden, MO.; step-brother, Wade Matthews of Bloomfield, Mo; step-sister LaDonna Mitchell of Malden, MO.; six grandchildren, Bryson Nelson, Mazey, Ty & Mya Gardener, Logan Jones, Hayie Whitted.

Pallbearers will be Billy Whitted, Wade Matthews, Karl Rudi, Josh Jones, Rick Gardner, and Josh Nelson.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dale Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott at 1 p.m. Monday.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home.
