Regenia Frizzell Camp

Regenia Frizzell Camp, 96, of Jonesboro, died June 17, 2013 at Jonesboro Health and Rehab. She was born May 16, 1917 in Nettleton, Arkansas to L.H. & Jeannette Stone Frizzell. Mrs. Camp graduated from Jonesboro High School and attended Arkansas State College. She married Kenneth Camp in 1939. She spent the time during World War II in Jonesboro while her husband fought in the Pacific Theater. After the war, she accompanied her husband on his many Air Force assignments, including California, Washington, New Jersey, Colorado, and Montevideo, Uruguay. Upon his retirement in 1962, they moved back to Jonesboro. Her husband, Col. Kenneth Camp died in 1983. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Camp is survived by her children, William L. (Ellen) Camp, Gainesville, VA, Linda Camp (Jon) Carper, Fayetteville, GA, Janet Camp (Fay) Chappell, Johns Creek, GA, Rita L. Camp, of the home; 8 grandchildren, Cynthia Flint, Kendra Farmer, Richard Mullen, Christina Fouts, Scott Chappell, Justin Camp, Susan Camp; honorary granddaughter, KayLynne Doss; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery with Kathy Holler officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
