Rebecca Lea Slaven Peronia Malone, 60, of Bono, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at her home of natural causes.
Born in Jonesboro, Rebecca lived all of her life in the Bono-Jonesboro area. She was a 1973 graduate of Westside High School and earned a professional degree from Delta Vocational-Technical School in Marked Tree. She has been a cosmetologist for over 40 years.
Rebecca is a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, oil painting and working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her father, Burl "Bus" Slaven.
Survivors include one son, Julian Malone of Bono;
one daughter, Michelle (Earl) Bryant of Horn Lake, Mississippi;
her mother, Verna Lea Slaven of Bono;
one sister, Lisa Slaven of Bono;
one brother, Michael Slaven of Bono; and
2 grandchildren: Jamison Bryant of Horn Lake and Jared Bryant of Austin, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Kenneth Gossett officiating. Burial will be private.
