Rebecca Michelle Daigle

Rebecca Michelle Daigle, 35, of Jonesboro, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed from this life Thursday, May 19, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Poplar Bluff on March 17, 1987 to Randy and Sarah Glidewell. Rebecca has resided in Jonesboro since 2005 and is a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Milton Smelser and her paternal grandmother, Ruby Glidewell.

Rebecca is survived by her husband of 12 years, Matt of the home; maternal grandmother, Joyce Smelser; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Glidewell; her parents, Sarah and Randy Glidewell of Poplar Bluff; one son, Caleb Daigle of the home; one daughter, Presley Daigle of the home; sister, Amanda (Kyle) Turley of Poplar Bluff; and two nieces, Makayla and Addison Turley of Poplar Bluff.

Rebecca was nothing short of an angel on earth.  She loved fiercely and was dedicated to her family. She lived for their happiness and thought of herself last; a selfless soul.  Everything she enjoyed involved being with her family from fishing to camping to vacation.  The Latin form of Rebecca (Rebekah) translates to Enchantingly beautiful; captivating or to bind/tie which captures her personality perfectly.  She was the glue that bound her family together and her Joy was contagious.  Her pride was in watching and helping her Children succeed at whatever they put their mind to. She spread Joy wherever she went and inspired the best in people without even trying.  Her unyielding faith in the Lord, even through adversity,  continues to be a shining example to anyone who was in her company and her radiant smile could only lift your spirits.  Rebecca Daigle was truly one of a kind.

A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Jonesboro, AR with Brother Grey Falanga officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Shiloh Cemetery in Ripley County Missouri.
