R.D. and Dorris lost their son, Garry Martin Lemons, to Hemophilia in 1986.

R.D. was a business man at heart; whether working for various firms making an impact such as having the honor of working as Purchasing Director for the State of Arkansas Welfare Department or being the founder of various ventures.  Through each and every experience, he forged new relationships. He knew no strangers and anyone who met him either liked him or loved him - most loved him, His friendships truly were life-long friendships.

He had a zest for life and cherished every moment it had to offer whether it was traveling extensively with his beloved wife Dorris, playing with his young boys, Garry and Mark, or enjoying their company as adults, loving on his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren, cook-outs and cards with friends and that very special activity that took him soaring above mother earth and through clouds – his love of flying a plane. The tranquility of the experience renewed his soul and his faith in mankind. So we say, well done dear son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend. May your new journey be CAVU "Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited".
