Raymond A. Smakowshi (Smokey)

Raymond A. Smakowski (Smokey), 76, of Jonesboro, died Thursday November 18, 2010 at his home. He was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois and had lived in Jonesboro since 1987. He was of the Catholic belief and a retired factory worker for Becks Vanilla Co. in St. Louis. He was also a U.S. Army Korea Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Alex and Helen Bolag Smakowski and one son; Raymond Smakowski.
Survived by his daughters; Paulette Newberry and husband David and Paula Hammon both of Jonesboro. Kim Barton and husband Jerry of Trumann.
2 grandchildren; Donna Timmons and Amber Hogard. 2 great grandchildren; Harleigh Sanders and Jackson Hogard.
All service will be private and there will be no visitation. Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge.
