Raymond Scarborough

Raymond C. Scarborough, 90, of Jonesboro died Monday September 8, 2014 at the NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born in Jonesboro on December 2, 1923 to the late Otie and Lucille Minton Scarborough. He had lived in Jonesboro his lifetime and was a machinist for A&G Auto Parts and also Bob’s Auto Parts. Raymond was a WWII Navy Veteran and attended Cornerstone United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Adeline Scarborough and a daughter; Jeanette Begley.

Survived by his son; Gene Scarborough (Jill) of Jonesboro.

Daughters; Donna Stringer (Buddy) of Jonesboro, Mary Ellen Abbott of Jonesboro and Beverly Beckman (Doug) of Harrison, Arkansas.
Brother; Norman Scarborough of Jonesboro.

5 grandchildren; Wendy Colbert, Vance Stringer, Ross Abbott, Shelley Swafford and Lane Hagood.

9 great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday September 10, 2014 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. John Miles officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge.

There will be no visitation.
