Raymond Warren Holladay, 77, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on April 30, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Raymond was born in Waldenburg on July 5, 1944 to the late Grace and Richard Holladay. In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Sue Holladay; son, Ricky Holladay; daughter, Pamela Bullock; brothers, Richard Harold Holladay and William Zan Holladay; and sisters, Carolyn Woods, Millie Kimberland, and Brenda Hawkins.
Raymond lived in Jonesboro for 34 years and was of the Baptist belief. He was a hard worker. You could often find him tending to his yard and swimming pool. Raymond loved spending time outside, most of the time fishing. When he wasn’t outside, he would spend his time inside tinkering around the house. If he wasn’t tinkering, he was watching westerns and NASCAR. Raymond loved the casino, Budweiser, and Miami Dolphins football. Most importantly, Raymond loved being with his family.
Raymond is survived by his brothers, Roman Holladay and Danny Holladay, both of Jonesboro; sister, Glenda Plamondon, of Linden, MI; grandchildren, Rebbecca Sherman (Daniel), of Columbus, MS, Cecil Bullock, of San Antonio, TX, Lori Bullock and Brandy Bullock, both of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren, Angel, Daltin, and TJ.
A public visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm the following day, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
