Raymond Eugene Floyd

Raymond Eugene Floyd, 26, of Jonesboro, died Monday, September 28, 2009 in Jonesboro.

Born in Memphis, Raymond lived all of his life in Jonesboro. He was a carpenter and attended Nettleton Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles.

Raymond was a 1991 graduate of Jonesboro High School and was preceded in death by his grandparents: Bill and Marie Floyd and Truel Keith Cole.

Survivors include 2 sons, Justice Floyd and Chance Floyd, both of Jonesboro;

The mother of his children, Tamatha Walke of Jonesboro;

His mother, Sarah K. Floyd of Jonesboro;
His father, William S. Floyd of Jonesboro;

3 brothers: William A. Floyd and Shawn Floyd, both of Omaha, Arkansas, and
Joshua Floyd of Quitman;

1 sister, Twana Floyd of Jonesboro; and

His maternal grandmother, Alfreda Belk.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include: Danny Joe Thomas, Michael Cole, Shawn Floyd, Willy Floyd, Jay Neal Floyd and Jessie Floyd.

Honorary pallbearers include Mitchell Pipes and Terry Veal.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
