Raymond Elder

Raymond L. Elder, 76, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Monday, August 5, 2019, at his home.

Born in Brookland. Raymond lived all of his life in the Jonesboro area. He was a 1961 graduate of Jonesboro High School and retired as a machinist from General Electric of Jonesboro. Raymond was a long-time member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and working on his cars.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Vida Stephens Elder; his first wife, Onedia Elder; brother Wayne Elder; and his step children: Stacy and Clay.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Elder of the home;
1 sister: Pat Elder Ivy (Bob) and
1 brother: Charles Edward Elder (Betty) all of Jonesboro; and
several nephews and nieces.

Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 Wednesday in Philadelphia Cemetery with Rick Rose officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
