Rayetta Elrod

Rayetta Roberts Elrod, 51, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at her home. Born in Jonesboro, Rayetta was a member of a military family and had lived in Germany, Georgia, and New Jersey. She was an amateur archeologist and enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts. She was a Protestant. Her husband, Barry Elrod, died June 7, 2009.

Survivors include: her parents, Birchard Roberts, Jonesboro and Mary Pustrom, Gastonia, North Carolina; a step-son, Geoff Elrod, Little Rock; brothers, Scott Roberts, Jonesboro, Tracy Roberts; and a sister, Holly Williams, both of Gastonia, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, July 11, 2009, at 2:00 at Nettleton United Methodist Church with Rev. Harmon Whitehurst officiating.

Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
