Rayanna Miller Moore

February 3, 1960 — November 28, 2018

Rayanna Miller Moore, 58, of Alexander in Saline County, passed from this life at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

Born in Jonesboro, Rayanna was a 1978 graduate of Valley View High School. She attended Arkansas State University and Southwest Texas State University and earned a Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University and a Master's degree from the University of Arkansas. She worked most of her adult life in Health Care Administration and was of the Methodist faith.

Rayanna married Gordon Moore in 1981 and spent 20 years as a Navy wife, living in several states. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time at the beach. Among her favorite pastimes were visiting the Outer Banks in North Carolina and visiting any Lighthouse where she traveled. After she became a grandmother, Rayanna loved spending most of her time with her family, children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Bobby and Rose Kinman Miller.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Gordon Moore of the home;
2 sons and daughter-in-law: Robert Blake and Belinda Moore and Aaron Miller Moore all of Jonesboro;
1 brother, Matt Miller of Harrison;
2 grandchildren: Lillian Rose Moore and Wallace Ponder Moore;
1 niece and her family: Megan and Jimmy Farley and sons Easton Farley and Judah Farley all of Jonesboro; and a host of cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randy Stimach officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge. Cousins will serve as pallbearers. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), PO Box 3199, Camdentown, MO 65020.
