Ray McClintock, 84, of Jonesboro died Thursday February 5, 2009 at his home.
Ray was born in Walnut Ridge, and lived in Jonesboro for fifty years, after moving here from Walnut Ridge. He was a manager for Jonesboro Builders Supply and a rental property owner for over thirty years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church for fifty years and served as an usher for many years. He was a Mason of the Hoxie Masonic Lodge # 692 and a member of the United Commercial Travelers. He was a WWII Army veteran, and attended Southern Baptist College.
Ray loved his family, enjoyed the outdoors and appreciated hard work. He dedicated his life to loving his wife, daughters and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.R. and Ermer Thomason McClintock, seven brothers and three sisters.
Survived by his loving wife of sixty one years; Nina McClintock of the home.
Two daughters; Cynthia Bahn and husband Robert of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Sandra Taylor and husband Gaylon of Jonesboro.
One sister; Lucille Acree of Savannah, Illinois; and long-time friend and brother-in-law, Billy Joe Davis.
Four grandchildren; Christopher Bahn and wife, Toni, Catherine Bahn, Sarahbeth Taylor and Emilee Taylor.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Mike Martin officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Active pallbearers will be Gaylon Taylor, Robert Bahn, Chris Bahn, Gary Kimberling, Bill McClintock, Gerald Manning, Dr. Steve Abernathy, Steve Collar, and Aaron Vasgaard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Vineyard, Jerry Cooper, Cliff Adams, Joe Little and Billy Joe Davis.
Visitation will from 6 – 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 6, 2009 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
