Dr. Randall "Randy" J. Woodruff, a beloved husband, dad, "Pop," and dedicated dentist, passed away on October 24, 2024, at 69. Dr. Woodruff was born on July 22, 1955, in Scott City, Kansas, and resided in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where he built a legacy of professional excellence and community service.
An Arkansas State University graduate, Randy earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 1983. Over the next 41 years, he established a successful dental practice in Jonesboro with his brother, Dr. Timothy C. Woodruff, DDS. He was an active member of the American Dental Association and the Arkansas State Dental Association.
Beyond his professional life, Randy was deeply involved in the Jonesboro community. He dedicated ten years of service to the Valley View School Board and was instrumental in the expansion of the current Jr. High School, Elementary School, Fine Arts Center, and helped launch the district's football program. He was a devoted member of Southwest Church and led the construction of the Wolflife Campus Ministry at Arkansas State University. He was also a core board member of the RidgePointe Property Association.
Randy's greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family and friends. He loved days on Lake Norfork, hunting trips, golfing, and cheering on his grandchildren at the ballpark and soccer fields. He will be remembered not only for his skill as a dentist but also for his genuine warmth, sense of humor, and unwavering faith.
The family would like to sincerely thank the dedicated team at NEA Baptist Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Woodruff; daughter, Casey Hart; son-in-law Jarrod Hart; son, Taylor Woodruff; grandchildren, Nash and Charlie Hart; brothers, Steve, Tim, Lee, and Scot; and sisters-in-law Linda, Ann, Jane Marie, and Klugh.
