Ralph J. Simpson

Ralph J. Simpson, 60, of Fontaine, died Friday morning at St. Bernards Medical Center. He had lived in the Fontaine area his entire life. He was a retired farmer who loved to hunt, fish, and garden.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie Simpson; sons and daughter-in-law, Jodi Simpson, Raleigh, NC, Jarrod & Shauna Simpson, Paragould; 6 brothers and 2 sisters; his grandchildren, Morgan Solvic, Haley Simpson; and his mother, Laverne Simpson, Fontaine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Simpson and a son, Jay Simpson.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Lorado Cemetery with Brother Bill Goodwin officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Raymond Minton, Bub Whitaker, Benny Martin, Stephen Adams, Derrick Cullison, and Ernie Milsap.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Denton, Larry Wicker, and Ike Debow.

There will be no visitation.
