Ralph L. Sharp

Ralph L. Sharp, 97, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday April 23, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Saffell, Arkansas on December 20, 1919 to the late Isaac and Altha Huskey Sharp. He had lived in Jonesboro since 1976 and was a retired school teacher/principal. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Jeanette Sharp, brothers, Johnnie and Roland Sharp, Sisters, Lula Mae Mullins and Vergie Doyle.

Survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Marie Sharp of the home.
Son, Stephen Sharp (Peggy) of Violet Hill, Arkansas.
Daughters, Lanafae Stephens (Robert) of Jonesboro and Judy Gregory (Leroy) of Elberton, Georgia.

3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m on Wednesday April 26, 2017 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Ray Keller officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Larry Dulaney, Mark Weston, Charles Johnson, Steve Boyd, Mike Ward and Jeff Long.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Ward, Wade Martin and David Young.
