Ralph H. Hawes

Ralph H. Hawes, 81, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, (formerly of Waterford, Michigan) entered heaven Monday, March 1, 2010. A former Army veteran of WWII and a serviceman for Sears, Ralph served for 25 years at Dixie Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior. .
In Jonesboro, Ralph was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and American Legion Post 21. He enjoyed RVing and camping, and was a member of Good Sam’s Club. He was preceded in death by his daughter Roxanne Meyers.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Nancy Hawes ;

3 sons and their wives: Glenn and Carrie Hawes of Waterford, Michigan, Russell and Ann Hawes of Jonesboro, and Kevin Hawes of Thailand;
1 daughter and her husband, Luann and Jim Richmond of Waterford, Michigan;
1 son-in-law, Jim Meyers;
2 brothers, Del Hawes and Dennis Hawes, both of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin;
2 sisters, Delores Passmore of Springhill, Florida, and Virginia Silsby of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin;
12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, March 5, 2010, at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Doug Ferris and Ryan Price officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
