Ralph Edward Miles, 80, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Friday, December 3, 2010, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ralph moved to Jonesboro in 1966 with General Electric where he worked for 38 years as a data processing and information technician. Ralph was a graduate of International Business College in Fort Wayne and a former Boy Scout leader.
Ralph was a charter member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Jonesboro where he served as usher and was past president and financial secretary of the church council. He was an active volunteer of Helping Neighbors Food Pantry.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Widner Miles of the home;
1 son and daughter-in-law: Timothy and Margo Miles of Sherwood, Arkansas;
1 granddaughter, Kristen Miles, a student at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan;
1 brother, Jack R. Miles of St. Petersburg, Florida; and
1 sister, Sandra Borton of Fort Wayne, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, December 7, 2010, at 10:30 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Deborah Nissen officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include John Barksdale, Walter Bergener, Richard Borton, Bill Alexander, Scott Hill, and Don Underwood.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
