Rachel Pritchett

Rachel Elizabeth (Huston)Pritchett, 91, of Jonesboro passed away December 29, 2013 at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Rachel was born May 9, 1922 in Bowling Green, Ohio and was a member of the Brookland Church of Christ.

Rachel was a small lady with a big heart. She enjoyed visiting and helping people. She also enjoyed photography, crafting, growing plants, and watching wildlife. She enjoyed spoiling her grandkids and great-grandson. Rachel’s various jobs were store clerk, secretary, and aid worker. However her most important jobs were wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Air Force Staff Sergeant Robert Pritchett, parents; Levi Earl and Mary Huston. step-father; Vernon Apple; a sister, two brothers, and one great granddaughter. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Davis (Dub). grandchildren; Robin Parks (Billy), Rob Davis (Lynissa). great-grandson; Christopher Joslin whom are all of Brookland, and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be at Emerson Funeral Home on January 2, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. The service will follow at 1 p.m. at Pine Log Cemetery with John Mark Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at NEA Baptist Hospital.
