Priscilla Cain Tennyson Wise

Priscilla Cain Tennyson Wise, 67, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on August 8, 2024, at her home.  She had lived in Jonesboro since 2004, moving here from Grubbs.  She was born on September 25, 1956, in Richmond, Indiana to Jesse and Virginia Cain.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church.  She had worked for Riceland Foods for over 38 years.  One of her hobbies was line dancing. That is where she met her husband, because he was the dance instructor.  She was a member of the Newport Rhythm Line Dancers.  She loved spending time with her family, “The joy of her life”, especially at the lake.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Carl, of the home.  They chose an easy wedding date that he could remember, 11/11/11; sons, Allen Tennyson and wife Tammie; Anthony Tennyson and wife Ashly; daughter, Jessica Sykes and husband Darrell, all of Jonesboro; brother, Malcolm Cain and wife Mary Beth of Newport; grandchildren, Sam, Emily, Will, Caleb, Zoe, Gabe, Maggie, Jamie, Jayda, Gracie and Garrett; great grandchild, Jessa May; uncle, Larry Cain; aunt Juanita and husband Max.

A Funeral will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Central Baptist Church with Jay Jacobs officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A burial will follow at Clark Cemetery near Uno with Allen Tennyson, Anthony Tennyson, Darrell Sykes, Caleb Sykes, Sam Tennyson and Daniel Marlar serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Emily Tennyson Marlar, Will Sykes, Zoe, Gabe, Maggie Tennyson and the Newport class of 1974.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.  To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
