Portia Gilstrap Gann

Portia Gilstrap Gann, 67, of Lake City, died Tuesday November 6, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Murrayville, Georgia and had lived in Lake City since 2008, moving there from Jonesboro. She was a retired medical secretary for Brooks Medical Clinic and was a member of the Nettleton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aric H. Gann, her parents, Pierce and Zora Glenn Gilstrap.

Survived by her son; Aric J. Gann of Lake City,

daughter; Danise Keefer Gann of Jonesboro,

brother; Phil Gilstrap of Murrayville, Georgia, sister; Marie Ash of Murrayville, Georgia.

Grandchildren; Amber Marie Keefer and Richard Thomas Keefer II.

Nieces and nephew; Ford Ash Jr., Sonya Ash, Sabrena Kapetanis, Scott Gilstrap and Amanda Bauman.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday November 8, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will be private. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.
