Phyllis Dawn Greenway passed away on January 2, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on April 2, 1962, in Michigan, to Wilburn and Mary Ann Warren.
Phyllis was a lifetime resident of Jonesboro and a faithful member of the New Haven Church of Christ. She began her working years as a hostess at Wyatt Cafeteria and later became self-employed, cleaning homes. She was known as a very hard worker who took pride in everything she did.
Her grandparents were a strong influence and mentor in her life, shaping her values and love for others. Phyllis truly loved life and had a servant’s heart, always willing to help anyone in need. She had a natural talent for doing or fixing just about anything, including carpentry, gardening, decorating homes, working with flowers, and cooking. She especially loved flowers and found joy in their beauty. She was an all-around special person who made the best she could out of life’s circumstances.
Above all else, Phyllis loved God and sharing her faith with others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; her sisters, Robin Simons and Cathey Warren; her brother, Junior Warren; her uncle, William Warren; and her nephew, William Warren.
She is survived by her brothers, Bo Warren, Jessie (Windy) Warren, Winford (Lisa) Warren, and Ralph (Sherry) Warren; her sisters, Opal Airsman, Sheila Simmons, and Tracy Goss; her uncle, Joe (Melba) Warren; her special friend, Bill Coleman; along with many other family members and a lifetime of dear friends.
