Phillip Allen Tubbs

Phillip Allen Tubbs, 7 month old son of Jace and Melissa Tubbs of Jonesboro passed peacefully on Friday, January 11 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.

During his seven brief months on Earth, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Phillip just adored his big brother, AJ. Every time he was with his brother he had a smile that was bigger than life. He was a little cuddle bug, and had those eyes and smile that will never be forgotten.

Phillip was preceded in death by great great grandparents, Arthur and Reba Moore, Bolt and Antho Hill; great grandfather, Bill Tubbs, great grandparents, Cloy Lee and Norma Stacy, R.D. and Ruby Jackson; three cousins, Tyler Morris, Anna Grace Jackson, and Haley Thomas.

In addition to his parents, Phillip is survived by his loving brother, Arthur James “AJ” Tubbs of the home; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Sharon Hill; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Trenea Tubbs; paternal great grandmother, Arnetta Tubbs; paternal great great grandmother, Eural Moore; four uncles and their wives; Jerred and Julie Tubbs, Jeffrey and Julie Tubbs, Brian and Ashley Hill all of Jonesboro, and Chris and Ellen Hill of Little Rock; seven cousins; and a host family and friends.

Services will be 10 A.M. Friday morning in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Johnny Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Serving as pallbearers are all Phillip’s uncles; Jerred and Jeffrey Tubbs, Chris and Brian Hill.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at Emerson Funeral Home.

A memorial fund has been established for Phillip at Highland Drive Baptist Church, 515 E. Highland Drive.
