Phillip Wayne Crego

Phillip Wayne Crego, 64, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.  He had lived in Jonesboro since 1987, moving here from Corning, Arkansas. He was born October 22, 1956, in Corning to William Earl and Barbara Crego.  Phillip graduated from the University of Arkansas as a Juris Doctorate.  He was a dedicated City of Jonesboro Attorney for over 20 years.  He was a blues music enthusiast and would make his yearly trek to the King Biscuit Festival and Morgan Freeman’s Ground Zero.  He enjoyed travelling to many new and far away places.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sons, Billy Crego and Joey Crego of Jonesboro; daughter, Liz Crego and wife Pilar Crego of Fayetteville; many nieces, nephews, and friends he called family.
