Petrina Louise Thomas

Petrina Louise Thomas, 72, of Jonesboro, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at her home. She was born on February 2, 195,4 in Jonesboro to Alfred Lee Cox and Newphemia “Mimi” Louise Cox.

Petrina was of the Baptist belief and enjoyed attending services and fellowship at Higher Trails Cowboy Church. She loved passing the time crocheting or working on word searches. Above all else, Petrina loved her family and treasured the memories they created together. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Thomas; daughter, Christy Hughes; and great-grandson, Bodie Huddleston.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla Nicley (Doyne) of Jonesboro, their children, Travis Nicley of Little Rock, Magen Hatfield (David) of Paragould, Madison Nicley of Paragould, and their grandchildren, Nova Hatfield, and her bonus great-grandchild; She is also survived by her adopted daughter Sharylla Jackson of Goobertown; And by her granddaughter, Jaycee Huddleston (David II), and their children David Huddleston III and Forrest Huddleston of Jonesboro. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ricky Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono.

Active pallbearers include: Dennis Ayo, David Huddleston, James Hughes, Daniel Hatfield, Marty Ramsey, and Danny Thomas. Honorary pallbearers include: David Ramos, Charles Thomas, Steve Henderson, Russ Henderson, and Travis Nicley.
