Perry Dean Humes

Perry Dean Humes, 77, of Pocahontas, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 23, 1948, in White County, Arkansas, to the late Joseph and Minnie Humes.

Perry grew up in Walnut Ridge and spent most of his life working as a road grader operator in Lawrence County. He was of the Baptist faith. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Humes; son, Perry Anthony Humes; a brother, Bobby Humes; and his sister, Mae J. McReynolds.

He is survived by his companion, Sandra Slatton of the home; and two brothers, Marion Humes of Walnut Ridge and Donnie (Rose) Humes of Powhatan.
