Peggy Ruth Stewart

Peggy Ruth Stewart, 77 of Jonesboro, passed from this life Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.  She was born October 26, 1941 to John Andrew Ollis and Beatrice Stone Ollis in Jonesboro.  Peggy was a homemaker and a member of Walnut Corner Baptist Church in Light, Arkansas.  She enjoyed watching movies, keeping up with the news, and eating with her daughter and granddaughter every Wednesday night; she also enjoyed the companionship of her dog “Sharky” and talking with friends.  Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jerry Ollis and sister, Sharon Goodon; husband John Alton Stewart and son Tommy Gene Stewart.

Survivors include son, Jimmy (Rebekah) Stewart of Maumelle; daughter, Vicky (Kelly) Collins of Jonesboro; daughter-in-law, Kathy Stewart; brother, Donnie Ollis of Jonesboro; 3 grandchildren, Stephine Stallings (Zack),  Jonathan Stewart and Peggy Kathryn Stewart;  great grandchildren, Archer Stallings and one on  the way, Allie Stallings.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 5:30-7:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
