Peggy “Peg” Lynn Parker Goodner passed away on January 24, 2026, surrounded by love. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished sister, proud Kiki and a treasured friend to so many.

Peg was born in Louisiana, Missouri, and made her home in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where she lived, loved, and built a life filled with deep relationships and community. To know Peg was to feel known—she truly never met a stranger. With her warm smile, open heart, and genuine kindness, she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Whether it was a lifelong friend, a neighbor, or a cashier at the store, Peg treated every person she met with the same warmth, grace, and sincere interest. She was a friend to everyone she encountered, and her presence left people better than she found them.

Peg is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Gregg Edward Goodner, her partner in life, love, and devotion. She is also survived by her daughter, Lindsay Goodner Gorbach and her husband Jonathon, of Dallas, Texas, and her beloved grandsons, Stratton Gorbach and Greer Gorbach, who brought her endless joy. She is further survived by her daughter-in-law, Ashley Handback Goodner, and her cherished granddaughter, Savannah Parker Goodner, of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Peg is also survived by her sister, Pam Parker Grote, of St. Simons, Georgia, and her nephew, Brian White, along with his wife Heather and their children, William, Parker and Augustas White.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Ryan Parker Goodner, whose loss she carried with quiet strength and enduring love, as well as her parents, Luther and Mary Parker.

Peg and Gregg were deeply involved in the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) and Material Handling Industry (MHI), where they formed lifelong friendships that became extended families. Peg was a steadfast and devoted wife who supported Gregg’s career wholeheartedly. Married 55 years ago, she embraced nine moves throughout their life together without hesitation, meeting each new chapter with grace, adaptability, and unwavering love.

Peg attended William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri, where she was a proud member of the Chi Omega Sorority and developed friendships from which she carried throughout her life. Peg had a deep love for her community which she shared through service including her involvement in the Junior League and Garden Club and through her special appreciation for beautiful flowers. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Jonesboro and a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and his music.

Peg’s legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, warmth, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her smile, her generosity of spirit, and the way she made others feel truly seen. Her love lives on in the many lives she touched.
