Peggy Darlene Overman-Craft

Peggy Darlene Overman Craft, 59, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, May 2, 2021, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.  She was born June 11, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Noel and Norvis Holland.  She was a homemaker when she left this world, but when she was able to work, she was either driving or taking care of someone, or both.  Peggy never seemed to meet a stranger. Once she knew you, she considered you family. Everybody was accepted around her and she would do whatever was needed to help. She had a happy and outgoing personality and alway enjoyed drinking her Dr. Pepper every day. Listening to the radio and singing and dancing with her babies brought her much joy.  She loved to watch her soap, I love Lucy and Joyce Myers, and listening to Brother Archie from Central Baptist Church.  Peggy had the ability to decorate for every holiday and her decorations were fantastic. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Arnold and a brother, Hershel Sullins.

Survivors include her significant of 25 years, Jerry Craft, of the home; daughters, Andrea Moody (James); Hilary Jones (CJ) Jamie Ohman (Doug); Emily Anderson (Doug) all of Jonesboro; brother, Morris Holland; sister, Ann Holland of Summerfield, Florida; 4 step-daughters and 2 step sons, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her dog named Snowball.

A celebration of life service will be 2:00 Monday, May 10, 2021, at Emerson Funeral Home.  Emerson Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with JR Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Scotty Turtle Brooks, Steven Stringer, Deshawn Washington, and Kenneth Moody, serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Branville Moody, Tommy Moody, David Swanner, James Moody, James Craft, and Jeremy Craft.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Monday.  To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
