Peggy Mallen

Peggy Mallen, 94, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Oakland, California to the late Henry and Alberta Peterson on September 7, 1924. Peggy has lived in Jonesboro for 23 years coming from Folsom, California. She attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with her husband, Vince. Peggy volunteered for St. Bernards Women’s Auxiliary for many years. She was an artist at heart and enjoyed drawing and painting with water colors and making custom Bundt cakes that she would share with family and friends. Peggy treasured the time that she was able to spend with family, grandchildren, and friends. In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Vincente “Vince” G. Mallen.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Linda Mallen Walters, son-in-law LTC (Ret) Tim Walters of Jonesboro; and two grandchildren, Matt Walters (McKenzie) of Orlando, Florida and Katie Walters of Columbia, Missouri.

A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home. There will be a private burial with Rev. Don Martin officiating.
