Peggy Coots

Peggy Coots, 76, of Trumann, died Thursday, June 12, 2025, surrounded by her family.  She had lived in Trumann since 1964, moving there from Keiser, Arkansas. She was born in Luxora, Arkansas on August 10, 1948, to Bennie and Virgie Tate. Peggy was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church of Trumann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Coots, sister, Ann Norton; and brother, Gary Lynn Tate.

Survivors include her son, Michael Coots; daughters, Tammy Stevens and husband Gary; Brandy Grimes and husband, Shayne all of Trumann; brother Larry Tate and wife Sharon of Searcy, Arkansas; sisters, Louise Norton and husband Keith of Haslett, Michigan; five grandchildren, Sydney Alsobrook (J. J.), Seth Sammons (Tiffney) Jarred Carter, Josie Sifuentes (Sebastian), Emily Grimes and four great grandchildren

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Paul Vincent officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  The burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Seth Sammons, Jarred Carter, Keith Norton, Ben Norton, Jason Hamby, Brian Hamby, J. J. Alsobrook, Greg Barnes. and Chris Coots. Honorary pallbearers are Shayne Grimes, Steve Coots, Terry Coots, Derrick Coots, Randy Shaw, Melvin Herring, and Ronnie Holt.
