Pearlie Underwood

Pearlie Agnes (Truitt) Underwood, 79, of Jonesboro died Friday at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She was a member and Past Royal Matron of Queen Ann Court #8 Order of the Ameranth.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Underwood; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Underwood of Las Vegas, NV, and Edward Lewis Underwood of Jonesboro; one daughter, Katrie Lynn McLendon, of Gulf Breeze, FL; two brothers, Charles Truitt of Middletown, IN and Marshall Truitt of Slash Branch, KY; one sister, Hannah Elam of Lexington, KY; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Cynthia Bentley Truitt, three brothers, Arthur, Moody, and Albert Truitt, and two sisters, Elsie Fannin, and Sylvia Sexton.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Deborah Nissen officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kasey, Korey, Jerry, and Kevin Underwood, Jerry McLendon and Charles Truitt.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 at Emerson Funeral Home.
