Pearl Louise Ishmael

Pearl Louise Ishmael , 98, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Newton and Lucy Albright on September 19, 1919 in Callie, Arkansas.

Pearl lived in Jonesboro for her entire life and was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was a retired LPN at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. Pearl was an avid gardener that loved flowers and especially roses. She enjoyed making quilts, great cook, raised eight children and hatched all sorts of birds.

In addition to her parents, Pearl is preceded in death by her husband, George Ishmael; sons: Donald Ishmael and Ronald Ishmael; daughter: Linda Vestal; Sister: Ruth Graham; and grandsons: John David Ishmael and Ivo Ishmael.

Pearl is survived by three sons: Richard (Vittoria) Ishmael, George (Brenda) Ishmael, and David Ishmael all of Jonesboro; two daughters: Susan (Larry) Alberts of Ft. Worth and Martha Rodgers of Jonesboro; twenty-one grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home with Phillip Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Lance Tuetken.
