Pearl "Catty" Catherine Adams

Pearl “Catty” Catherine Adams, 91, of Jonesboro passed from this life Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born to the late H.E. and Lucinda Wall on September 16, 1926 in Lorado.

Catty resided in Jonesboro all of her life while being of the Baptist faith and attending Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Catty can best be described as a “worker” who took pride in all that she did. She spent her time care taking and private sitting with those in need. Catty enjoyed spending time doing yardwork and keep up cemeteries. Most of all Catty took pride in taking care of the Mount Zion Cemetery.

In addition to her parents, Catty was preceded in death by her husband, Hulan Adams; brothers and sisters: Ima Jean Wall, Jewell Wall, Donald Wall, Mack Wall, T.E. Jack Wall, Willa Dean Clayton, Orine Carr, and Laverne Bobo; and grandson: Jeremy Michael Book.

Catty is survived by two sons: Hillrey(Susan) Adams of Jonesboro and Randal “Bernie”(Linda) Adams of Brookland; two daughters: Brenda Book-Ward of Jonesboro and Sharon Hopkins of Brookland; two brothers: Gerald(Betty) Wall and Russell Wall both of Paragould; one sister: Norma Sue(Bill)Wade of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Amber Book, Kristin Bearden, Tommy Robinson, Stetson Adams, Brandon Clairday, and Heather Tubbs; great grandchildren: Tarah Henderson, Michael Book, Matthew Book, Christine Robinson, Avery Genheimer, Kensley Bearden, Blakely Bearden, and Jagger Tubbs; great great grandchild: Braxten Baker; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 1:30 pm Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Greg Rainwater and Jim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Stetson Adams, Michael Book, Matthew Book, Steve Bearden, Jerred Tubbs, and Jared Clayton.
