Pearl Thompson Borden, 98, departed this life on September 21, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 23, 1928, in Wayne County, Tennessee, to Lewis and Laura Thompson.

Pearl was a homemaker and a longtime member of Strawfloor Baptist Church. She and Clarence worked together raising their family. While farming rice and soybeans, they taught their children how to work hard and love God. She was an active member of the church, serving with the Women on Mission ministry and helping with Vacation Bible School. She was also a member of the Extension Homemakers Club. Pearl enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, yard work, and tending to her beautiful flower garden. She was always ready to use her talents in helping friends, family and neighbors. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and the memories they made together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence W. Borden; four sisters and six brothers; two sons-in-law, Buford Huskey and Hal Feild; a daughter-in-law, Carla Borden; a grandson, Jacob Adam Mitchell; and a grandson-in-law, Brian Spurlock.

Pearl is survived by her three sons, Dwain (Sandra) Borden and Jeff Borden, both of Jonesboro, and Joe Borden of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; three daughters, Dee Feild and Peggy (Steve) Householder, both of Jonesboro, and Carol (David) Hopp of Paragould; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Pearl is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family that she loved dearly.
