Paulette Kay Barnes

Paulette Barnes, 76, of Jonesboro, died Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.  She was born in Jonesboro on January 23, 1947, to Earnest and Nelma “Pauline” Barnhill.  She had resided in Jonesboro since 2003, moving here from Virginia.  She was of the Southern Baptist belief.  Paulette retired from AT & T after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #147 for over 50 years.  One of her pastimes was cross stitching. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Barnes; daughter, Kathy Walker; and a brother, Barney Barnhill.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Dye and husband, Mark of Conway; granddaughters, Jordanne Dye and Michelle Walker; and special caregiver, Teona Faith Adams.

A memorial service will be Friday, June 30, 2023, at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.  Burial will be private.
