Paul Modde, 70, of Jonesboro, formerly of Perryville, Missouri passed away December 19, 2019 at his home. He was born February 19, 1949 in Perryville to the late Lonnie and Leola Modde. Paul was of the Catholic Faith. He was a Vietnam veteran who served in the Navy and was on the USS Westchester County LST-1167 when it was bombed. Paul worked most of his life as a machine operator, working for Gilster-Mary Lee Corporation and Alexander’s Machine Shop. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching movies and play cards, especially spades. Most of all Paul loved his family and spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry Layton, Charles Layton; nephew, Aaron Novack and great nephew, Dean Novack Jr.
Survivors include his significant other, Cindy Modde; son, Jason Modde; 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth Modde, Jacob Modde; great grandson, Camden Reddmann all of Jonesboro; sister, Jane McCarthy of Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.
